FTD Review of Flowers Received

I am partly posting this so I have a link to provide to FTD customer service – so I can show them pictures of what I ordered vs what I got given that their form has no area to do so.  I am also posting this to inform others of the poor quality received.  Considering there are over 1300 monthly searches for the term “FTD Review”  and additional searches for “FTD Flower Review” perhaps some potential customers will come across this and find it useful before wasting their money.

I will update this with whatever response I receive from FTD and how well they stand behind their “quality guarantee”.

Today was my step-mother, Diane’s 60th Birthday – so I thought I would surprise her with a nice floral arrangement from FTD.  The floral arrangement received was terrible compared to what I thought I was ordering based on the pictures in their website:

I ordered the “Thinking of You” bouquet which had three options “Good”, “Better” and “Best”.  I chose the middle option, and here are the various images of the differences to compare:

Early that morning, FTD called to inform me that they didn’t have the lavender roses and that I could choose between pink or white.  I chose a combination of both as I thought that would look nice.  I assumed that even though they didn’t have the color of flowers I wanted available, that the size and likeness to the original would be similar – minus the color differences.  Actually, I was hoping that since I didn’t get the color I wanted, perhaps they would even go the extra mile and give me a slightly larger bouquet – as that would just be good customer service.  I was very mistaken.

What I ordered:

Flowers

What was received:

The size of this bouquet is even smaller than the smallest version I *could* have ordered.  And that one lily on on the left looks like it is almost dead.  Supposedly the bouquets will stay fresh for seven days, but it already looks as if it is half dead.  Very disappointed.

Excercise

I am the least athletically inclined person I know, unless you count thinking about being athletic – if so, I’m all over that shit.  Now I use the term “athletic” loosely here.  That means that I’m not in a wheelchair, and I could probably run a couple  miles if it was forced upon me.  Okay okay maybe a mile, and I’d complain afterwards.  Ask me to go to the gym? Hell to no, I’m busy/broke my toe/my dog died/I have glaucoma.   So I’ve decided that along with my new healthy eating veggie juice habit/lifestyle  I want to start getting in better shape as well.  I am going to try and get into running/jogging/walking fast.  I found this couch to 5k program that helps beginner runners start developing better habits and stamina and learn how to run, so I am going to try that out.  Don’t expect any updates though.
